نبات — “Nabat” — Arabic for “plants” or “vegetation,” rooted in a word that also means to grow, to sprout, to flourish.

The name was chosen because the handle is, quite literally, a plant rendered in brass — a stem rising and opening into a cluster of fanned, leaf-like blades, caught at the exact moment of bloom. Where the other pieces in the collection take their names from qualities like strength or endurance, Nabat is named for growth itself: the idea of something reaching upward and unfurling, never static.

That idea carries through in the design. A slender stem curves gently before opening at the top into an asymmetric fan of pointed, leaf-shaped forms, closely echoing a bird-of-paradise flower mid-bloom. The entire surface carries a fine, brushed linear texture — like grain running through a leaf — cast in solid brass and finished in a warm satin gold that catches light differently along each curved edge.
