رمال — “Rimal” — Arabic for “sands,” the plural of raml, evoking the shifting dunes and warm, sun-worn grain of desert landscapes.
The name was chosen for the most direct reason: the pale, textured leather grip is the exact color of desert sand, wrapped around a brushed brass core the tone of afternoon light. Where Tiraz is defined by fine linework and Nabat by growth, Rimal is defined by warmth and texture — something soft to the touch, grounded, and quietly luxurious, the way sand feels underfoot rather than looked at.
The design carries that contrast in two materials rather than one: a brushed satin brass bar with polished end caps and visible fixing screws at top and bottom, wrapped through its centre in a genuine grain leather sleeve in a warm sand tone. The leather’s natural texture — soft creasing, visible pore, matte to the brass’s shine — makes the piece as tactile as it is warm to look at.
